You're invited to hear where the major political parties in BC stand on important issues facing people with disabilities. Twenty-four organizations representing people with disabilities, through the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) of the Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS), have invited party leaders of the BC Liberal, New Democratic, and Green parties to participate in a Forum on Disability in advance of the provincial election. Following the discussions, a panel comprised of three community experts will then comment on the Leaders" responses. The event will be accessible; however, seating is limited to 250 people. Given the short time frame of the event, questions from the audience will not be possible. RSVP's not required. WHEN: Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. WHERE: Alice MacKay room at the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia Street (at Homer) MODERATOR: Vaughn Palmer, host of Shaw Cable TV's "Voice of BC” and Vancouver Sun provincial affairs political columnist.
