What does it cost to participate?
Meet n' Greet first event participation costs $35.
Special events may
incur an additional cost. There are lots of opportunities to meet someone special!
On average, how many singles attend an event?
On average, events have from over 40 singles.
Are there an equal number of women and men at an event?
Yes. We only schedule the same number of women as men and vice versa.
Why is event prepayment required?
Prepayment is your confirmation that you will be included in a Meet 'N Greet event and we
can ensure that the event has confirmed singles participating only.
Can I pay later or at the door?
Your online application must be accompanied with a payment: Either a
cheque/money order (must be received 3 days prior to the event) or
instant guaranteed participation confirmation with secure online Visa or Mastercard processing.
What happens if I only submit my application?
We cannot confirm your event participation, however, we will keep your application
on file should we receive event cancellations, which is rare.
Am I assured anonymity?
Yes. Your dates are provided with your user name only at the event
(for example, 'Sam-the-Man' or
'Sweetie-Pie' ... etc).
Will my dates be the same age as I am?
We try to match your age with the age of your dates within
a reasonable range.
Where are the Meet n' Greet events held?
All events, unless otherwise indicated, are held at a community center located
on Vancouver's west side (West 10th Ave, between Trutch and Blenheim). Events are held
on Saturdays.
Can anyone go?
Yes. As long as you are 21 years of age or over, you can participate.
What kind of people attend?
Todate, we have had doctors, corporate reps, admin workers, homemakers, investment
reps, self-employed, small business owners, students, clerks, engineers ...
What is the dress code?
Most participants dress casually, however
what matters is what you feel comfortable with. If you like to impress
your dates by dressing up, it's perfectly ok too.
Do singles ever attend more than one event?
Yes. Some have attended two to three events.
If I have already attended a Meet n' Greet event, is it guaranteed
that I can attend another?
Once you have attended your initial event, future participation is on
a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up to attend an upcoming
Meet n' Greet event as soon as you can! If the event is already fully
booked, you are automatically scheduled for the event thereafter.
Will I meet someone different every time?
We do try to ensure that you do not meet the same people again. It is
not a guarantee though. There may be an occasion where you might meet one
or two from a past Meet n' Greet event if you attend regularly. It is uncommon,
but it can occur.
How many dates do I meet per event?
You will meet over 20 dates and a maximum of thirty (although
we have been known to increase that maximum;).
Is it safe to pay by credit card online?
It is very safe. 85% of Meet 'N Greet participants pay by online Visa
or MC.
How do you let my date(s) know that I am interested in getting to know her/him/them better?
We contact your date(s) on your behalf by email with your request and provide
your username and email address with a note that you would like to get to know
her/him better.
What if I would like to get to know more than one date better?
Not a problem. We will contact as many dates from each Meet n' Greet event as you
like on your behalf.
What do I bring to a Meet n' Greet event?
Yourself and any questions for your dates.
What can I talk about with my dates at a Meet 'n Greet event?
You can ask your date anything except personal questions such as age, real name,
occupation and place of residence. The idea is to focus on what the person is really like. A
question sheet is also available.
What are the advantages of speed dating?
There are many, but let's point out the obvious:
- It's very social and you're guaranteed to meet dates
- Speed dating has a high success rate
- It's not a loud bar scene, guess-who personal ads game
or long distance affair
- You're meeting like-minded people and everyone wants
to have a good time!
- We sprinkle the atmosphere with romance ... and a relaxed casual atmosphere
- It's a good and safe event where you meet bonafide singles
